Meteorology warns those coming to cold areas, advises farmers and expects cold and dry weather in the highlands.

The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects dry, cold to very cold weather overnight and early morning in Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Al Bayda and Al Dhalea Heights governorates.

Cold weather is also expected in the highlands of Hadramawt, Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Al Mahwit, Ma’rib and Al Jawf governorates.

The center alerted citizens, especially the elderly, children and workers during the night and morning, of the effects of cold and extreme cold in the aforementioned governorates and highlands.

He also warned farmers in mountainous areas against cold spells, advising them to take necessary measures to protect crops from damage caused by low temperatures.

The Center urged those traveling to cold areas to take necessary precautions to avoid cold shock.
